Other interesting information discovered:
James Miller was one of the only Cardington soldiers that became part of the occupation forces that remained in the south after the war ended. While is shown living in Cardington prior to the war, he evidently moved to Indiana shortly after the war. The records show that he died at Indianapolis, Indiana in 1867. He was just 22 years old.
