STEPS (Story Time Enhances Primary Skills) prepares preschoolers ages 3-5 for reading success through stories, crafts, songs, and rhymes. It is designed to build early literacy skills in young children while encouraging their natural curiosity and creativity so that they can become successful readers and life-long learners.
The program enhances six skills: Vocabulary, Letter Knowledge, Phonological Awareness, Print Awareness, Print Motivation, and Narrative Skills. It does this by using five core practices: Talk, Sing, Read, Write, Play.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to stay for this fun and free program. COVID-19 safety measures are in place to ensure the health and safety of all participants.
Story Time meets every Thursday from 10:30-11:30 AM now through Thursday, May 13, 2021.
