William Willets was born in Morrow County on 1/9/1831. William’s younger brother, Wendall was killed in the Battle of Stones River in 1862. William married Lucinda Grandy on 12/4/1858 in Morrow County, Ohio, three children were born of this union. William lived and farmed in the Cardington, Ohio area all of his life. At one time he lived on Nicholas Street in Cardington. Lucinda collected a widow’s pension on 6/24/1904.
