Promoted to corporal on January 2, 1863.  Transferred to 33rd. OVI on June 18, 1864.  He was confined to the hospital at Elkwate, WVa. And Chattanooga, Tenn.  He as taken prisoner on May 3, 1863 at Cedar Bluff, Al. by NB Forrest.  Confined at Atlanta, Belle Island, Va. From May 3-16, and then paroled.  Discharged on September 9, 1864 at Atlanta, Georgia.

Perryville, Ky.                                                     Oct. 8, 1862

Stone River, Tenn.                                             Dec. 31, 1862

Cedar Bluffs, Al.                                     May 3, 1863

Other interesting information discovered:

James Blair returned to Morrow County and remained there for the rest of his life.
