Other interesting information discovered:

George Karns was born in Morrow County, Ohio on 6/16/1843.   George married Caroline Kehrewecker of Cardington, Ohio on 1/23/1868 in Morrow County; eleven children were born of this union.  George moved to the State of Kansas in 1866. He became wealthy as a farmer and stock raiser. He assisted in the organization of the Farmers State Bank of Circleville, Kansas and held the office of president for four years. He died at home after a long illness on 5/30/1908. George received an invalid’s pension on 11/15/1889.  Caroline Karns received a widow’s pension on 8/21/1908.
