Other interesting information discovered:

Edmond Kirk lived in Mt. Gilead and Cardington prior to his enlistment.  Eventually he moved west, settling in Kansas.  In 1900 he was living in a Kansas State Soldiers Home.  It is estimated that he died on September 22, 1903 at Ft. Dodge, Kansas (according to GAR records there)
