His regiment was on garrison duty at Forts Ellsworth, Williams and North, those being part of the defense of Washington DC south of the Potomic River.  He was not involved in any battle.

Other interesting information discovered:

Isaac was married first to Sarah Chilcote (1861) and then to Margaret Smith (1868).  Born in Pennsylvania, he spent most of his life in Morrow County

Date of Death:  1917                  Place of burial:  Bethel Cemetery, Cardington, Ohio
