Other interesting information discovered:

Gilbert B McWhirk was born in Ohio in the year 1842. He married Mary Elizabeth “Molly” Knott in January of 1865.   He was a Bookkeeper for Oil Mill in Lincoln Township of Morrow County in 1870. He later moved to Indiana.  Gilbert applied for an invalid’s pension on 3/29/1889. Mary remarried after Gilberts death in 1876, she then applied for a widow’s pension on 3/19/1879.
