Other interesting information discovered:

Edward L Rose was born in Ohio in the year 1847. His older brother, David C Rose, Captain in the 31st OVI Company E died of typhoid fever at Camp Dick Robinson, Kentucky in 1861. His younger brother, Alonzo J Rose served in the 5th Independent Battalion and the 13th Cavalry.

Little is known about Edward’s personal life. On 7/8/1889 Mary P Rose received a widows pension and on 2/12/1898 a minor, Leonard E Rose received a minor’s pension.
