Other interesting information discovered:

The name “Orrin” Stanton is a mistaken identity for Lewis Stanton.  Orin Stanton was a younger brother to Lewis, but did not serve in the war.  Orin was born in 1852, and would have been too young.

Lewis Stanton died of disease in Nashville, Tenn., having served less than seven months.
