Other interesting information discovered:

Vincent’s entire regiment was captured by Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest’s cavalry in May, 1862.  After it was paroled, it was limited to guard duty and other duties in the state of Ohio.

Michael Vincent was born in Lancaster County Pennsylvania on October 5, 1838.  By 1860 he is shown living near Cardington, Ohio.  By 1870, he had moved to Earlham, Iowa.  He remained in Iowa until his death there in 1929, at the age of 90.  His wife’s name was Fedelia Phelps.
