Circulation Policy
The Cardington-Lincoln Public Library (CLPL or “the library”) maintains a Circulation Policy and applicable procedures to ensure that all patrons are provided with consistent services from library staff members and that every patron has clear expectations of their rights and responsibilities as a CLPL cardholder. All Ohio residents are eligible for a free CLPL library card to access any library service. Please see the document attached to the bottom of the page for our full circulation policy.
Code of Conduct
The following rules of conduct have been adopted for the comfort and protection of all those using and working in the Cardington-Lincoln Public Library. The library staff will enforce this code in a courteous but firm manner. We ask your cooperation in helping us provide a safe and pleasant environment essential for all our patrons and staff. Please see the document attached to the bottom of the page for our full code of conduct policy.
Meeting Room Use Policy
The meeting room at the library is open for all non-profit and personal groups. Please see the document attached to the bottom of the page for our full meeting room use policy. To make a reservation:
- Request a paper application at the Circulation Desk of the library or print off a copy from the library website, found at the bottom of this page.
- Complete the entire application and submit it, along with fee payment (if required) to the Circulation Desk during library operating hours.
- The person reserving the room must be 18 years of age or older.
- The person reserving the room must provide their name and current address and phone number.
- Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis.
- Usage fee is due when application is submitted, if applicable:
- A $20 fee is required for parties.
- There is no fee for non-profit or educational groups/events.
- If the event will take place outside of library operating hours, a key to the lower entrance door can be handed out. You are not required to take a key. The key must be picked up during library hours the day prior to the event. If you request a key but fail to pick it up, entrance to the library will not be granted for the event.
Computer and Internet Use Policy
Free public WiFi is available for use everywhere in the building and in the parking lot.
The library has several public access computers available for use. When using the library WiFi or public computers, violation of any of the below rules will result in immediate loss of computer privileges:
- Patrons may not send, receive, or display text or graphics that may reasonably be construed as obscene.
- Patrons may not use this resource for any illegal purpose.
- Patrons may not in any way alter, reconfigure, or damage workstations.
- Patrons may not use this resource to interfere with or harass others, nor invade the privacy of others.
- Patrons may not modify or gain access to files, passwords, or data belonging to others; nor seek unauthorized access to any computer system, or damage or alter software components of any network, host server or database
