Battles in which he fought:
The 85th OVI was organized at Camp Chase, Columbus Ohio between May and June 1862 to guard a large number of Rebel prisoners. Soldiers mustered out between September 23 and September 27, 1862 at expiration of service.
The 88th OVI: Also organized at Camp Chase to guard prisoners. The 85th also engaged in the pursuit of Morgan’s raiders and the suppression of Holmes County rebellion in July 1863.

Martin B Drury was born in Ohio in the year 1835. He married Sarah C Hoff on 3/18/1858 in Morrow County and had 10 children. Martin lived and farmed in the Cardington area of Morrow County until 1880 where we find him living and farming in Jefferson, Missouri. Sarah collected a widow’s pension on 6/28/1890 while living in Kansas.
