Other interesting information discovered:
Samuel was one of three Everett brothers to serve in the war. Alexander was in the same company and regiment. Benjamin was in the 174th. OVI. The family was living in the Cardington area as early as 1850. By 1885, Samuel was living in Laclede, Kansas with Martin Adams of Cardington and who served in his same cavalry regiment (Martin’s father, John, also lived in Kansas for a period of time). Samuel never appears to have married.
