Other interesting information discovered:
It was difficult to determine if this was the correct “Joseph Farley.” However, the pension file lists the name as “Farlee,” as does the Soldier Grave Registration” information. The Grave Registration information aligns with his enrollment and mustering out dates. The mid 1830’s date of birth is likewise consistent with his records. It is not known why Farlee enlisted in Cardington. Most of records from 1870 on show him to have resided in Williams County, Ohio.
