Lewis W Bendle was born on December 12, 1846. As a young boy he lived in Morrow and Knox County area. He married Mary Ann Coykendall in Marion, Ohio on 10/12/1874, five children were born of this union. After the War Lewis was a farmer in the Cardington and Mt Gilead area. He collected an invalid’s pension on 9/30/1925.
