Christian Bitzer was born in the year 1834 in Germany. He came to America, arriving in New York on 4/25/1854. Christian married Rosena Catherine Much. Three children were born of this union. By 1870 Christian and his family were living in the Cardington, Ohio area. Christian was a carpenter. He collected an invalid’s pension on 7/20/1884. Christian was staying at the US National Home for Disabled Soldiers in Dayton when he died on 11/24/1898.
