Computer Class-Introduction to Documents

Prerequisite:  Students have completed "Introduction to Mouse and Keyboard" OR are able to use a computer mouse and keyboard without help.  We will use Windows 7 WordPad.  Skills learned can be adapted to other programs. 

Topics covered are:

What is WordPad?                                           Cut, Copy, Paste

Saving a Document                                          Toolbars and Menus

Setting Page Margins                                      Page Layout

Opening Word Pad                                           Opening a Saved Document

Fonts:  Color, Bold, Italic, Underline

Students should bring a sweater/jacket; the classroom can be cold.  Also, students should park in the back lot and enter through the entrance that is at the bottom of the handicap ramp.
