This class is for beginning computer users. Students will learn how to use the computer mouse and keyboard commands to operate a computer. We will cover the basic layout of the Windows 7 desktop and use WordPad to learn about the different keys and mouse functions. It is not necessary for students to know how to type.
Skills covered in the class are: the mouse and the cursor, shift key functions, enter key functions, click and drag (mouse), backspace key functions, delete key functions, double left click (mouse), single left click (mouse), tab key functions, directional arrow keys, caps lock functions, and combination key functions.
Students should bring a sweater/jacket; the classroom can be cold. Also, students should park in the back lot and enter through the entrance that is at the bottom of the handicap ramp.
