Once your child is signed up, it will take about 8-10 weeks for their first book to arrive. Every child receives "The Little Engine that Could" for their first book. After that, books will be geared toward their age and change with them as they grow. Once a child turns 5 years old, they'll receive their final book the month of their birthday, "Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come!"
If you move before your child finishes the program, simply update your address through the Ohio Governor's Imagination Library website. This will ensure they continue to receive their monthly book, no matter where they are.
If your child is blind, check out the Braille Tails Print/Book program, a collaboration between the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and the American Printing House for the Blind.
