James F Duncan was born on 10/10/1840 in Ohio. In 1864 he married Anna M Blair, six children were born of this union. James lived and farmed in the Morrow County area until sometime after 1890. The 1900 census indicates James and his family moved to Huron County, Ohio where he was employed as a brakeman and conductor for passenger and freight trains. He was a member of the Order of Railway Conductors, a member of the G.A.R. and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Willard, Ohio. James collected an invalid’s pension on 4/27/1889, his wife, Anna collected a widow’s pension on 7/20/1922.
