Other interesting information discovered:  His company was detailed to build the fortifications at Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  While he was in just one battle, his regiment lost during service 6 Officers and 108 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 1 Officer and 159 Enlisted men by disease. Total 274.

Date of Death:  August 2, 1916

Place of burial:  Glendale Cemetery, Cardington, Ohio.
