Other interesting information discovered:
James Maxwell appears to be one of three brothers from the Cardington area that served in the war. Two younger brothers, John and William also served. The family is shown living in Delaware County in 1850. Maxwell applied for an invalid’s pension in February 1868, which indicates that he was not well, and most likely due to an ailment from the war. He is not found in any other record after that date.
