Other interesting information discovered:  Charles Oldfield was born at Canton, Ohio in 1834.  Immediately prior to the war he lived in the Minster, Ohio.  By 1870 he resided in Galion, Ohio and in 1880, Nevada, Ohio.  His first wife, Sarah Armstrong, died in 1879.  That same year he applied for an Invalid’s Pension, and was listed as being totally disabled.  His second wife, Nellie, died in 1901.  By occupation, he was a harness maker.  He died in Erie County, Ohio;  his grave lies in the Nevada Cemetery in Wyandotte County, Ohio.
