Discharged May 15, 1863. Records reveal Jesse Thomas was promoted to Commissary Sergeant on Sept. 9, 1862.  His brother, Robert M. Thomas served in the 206th.  Pennsylvania.

Provost duty at Washington and Georgetown until February 1863. Joined the Army of the Potomac and duty at Falmouth and Belle Plains, Virginia until April 27.  Chancellorsville Campaign April 27 to May 6, 1863. Operations at Pollocks Mill Creek April 29 to May 2, 1863. Fitzhughs Crossing April 29-30, 1863. Battle of Chancellorsville May 25, 1863. Muster out May 15, 1863

Other interesting information discovered:

Jesse Thomas was born in Pennsylvania about 1830.  Census records reveal he was a farmer much of his life while he was living in Pennsylvania.  His brother, Robert was a dentist living in Cardington in the 1880’s.
