John Casey was born in Pennsylvania, but lived in Cardington for most of his life. He was a harness maker in the village of Cardington. His wife’s name was Malinda. The quote from his gravestone reads “In peace, a friend to all not few. In life, cheerful as the sun. In death eternal joy beyond.”
