William Elwood Williams, sometimes known as Elwood Williams, was born in Morrow County, Ohio on 2/14/1847. He married Ella Ruth May in Morrow County on 12/22/1870, two children were born of this union. William and his family lived in the Cardington, Ohio area where he was a farmer and a stone mason. He collected an invalid’s pension on 7/23/1890, his wife collected a widow’s pension on 10/15/1914.
